Comma or no comma?4th April 2018
I am often given emails or letters to correct or look over before they are sent out. One of the key phrases to ending an email or letter starts with the words:
I look forward to…..
Many people make the mistake of using an infinitive of the verb at this point. The way the sentence should continue is in the gerund, verb+ing. This means you could finish your email by saying:
I look forward to hearing from you…, seeing you on…, receiving your order……
Remember: look forward to + verb+ing
